The team behind Skate 4 released a new teaser trailer showing off some footage from the game’s “pre-pre-pre-alpha”! The incredibly early development footage gives us a hopeful glimpse into what the game will be like on launch, with 25 players multiplayer, custom skate parks you can edit live with others, physics-based parkour, and more!
The new trailer also unveils the skate insider playtesting program where you can sign-up to become a part of the game’s playtesting team, play an early version of the game, and help shape the future of Skate 4!
Skate is a series of extreme skateboarding games developed by EA, featuring a system of performing tricks using analog sticks, with your movements on the stick determining the kinds of tricks you perform. The series’ last entry was released on April 16, 2010.
The game currently has no release date.

Skate is an extreme skateboarding series that was put on hiatus since its third entry, Skate 3 in 2010. The series distinguished itself with the introduction of its beloved “Flickit” mechanic, having you execute tricks by combining the movements of both analog sticks, rather than using the face buttons on a controller.
Unlike previous skateboarding games, Skate also takes place in an open world, allowing you to explore cities, skate parks, urban areas, and even huge sewer pipes to perform tricks, wherever your imagination takes you freely. The games even featured a game mode called “Hall of Meat” where players compete to wipe out the hardest, attempting to break every bone in their characters’ bodies for a maximum score!
