SINoALICE
ーシノアリスー
Japanese Gamer Reactions:
"Developed by the PokeLabo, the developers that shutdown at least 15 games in 3 years…"
"Not worth re-rolling, you’ll know when you start…"
"Neverending maintenances.. is this a repeat of FGO?"
"Please don’t insult FGO"
When the game was being promoted, the main focus was the beautiful character designs, but you can’t judge a book by its cover. Until the day the game launches, you won’t know how good the game really is. SINoALICE is the perfect example of this.
Ignoring the frequent maintenance, the game lacks innovation, relying purely on aesthetics to lure in players.
Player’s skills and class revolves around weapons which can be obtained through the in-game gacha. The game focuses quite heavily on social interactions between players. The core of the game is quite similar to Kurokishi to Shiro no Maou. Not to say that these games are bad, but it really depends on personal preference.
In terms of limit break, it lies towards the heavy side. Hopefully, the game will release more events with weapon drops in the future, otherwise, according to the current drop rates, the game will have quite a steep curve…
Yuki Yuna is a Hero – Hanayui no Kiramei
結城友奈は勇者である 花結いのきらめき
Japanese Gamer Reactions:
"Surprisingly a lot of thought is needed to make a good team."
"The story isn’t bad, AND it’s fully voiced!"
"The balance of the game is a little off… Crit characters is a must have."
At first glance, the game looks similar to Chain Chronicles, but the actual gameplay resembles that of a Castle Defense game.
The overall graphics are quite simple, but the LIVE2D modes are pretty well made. Skill animations feels satisfying, and the contents of the game feels quite complete.
For a game based on an IP, it really isn’t bad. Definitely worth a shot.
Time Bokan 24 Bokan Mecha Battle
タイムボカン24 ボカンメカバトル!
Japanese Gamer Reactions:
"No one is playing this game? is there something wrong with it?"
"Nyanko Taisensou is a lot cuter than this"
The overall gameplay is similar to Nyanko Taisensou, but with the theme of Time Bokan 24.
The Nyanko Taisensou gameplay adds a certain entertainment value to the game, but the current Time Bokan developments aren’t exactly going smoothly, which is probably why the game isn’t exactly the talk of the town.
Ten Nights of War Guardians Summon
十夜戦争ガーディアンズサモン -タワーディフェンス×カード-
Japanese Gamer Reactions:
"Card Tower Defense is quite an innovative concept!"
"If possible, I would like to make my own deck…"
Quite a fun casual game. The game itself is a simple tower defense, with an added card element.
Each stage, players picks 2 out of 4 decks to use, although there isn’t a lot of variations, the concept alone is quite unique. Hopefully, we’ll be seeing more of these games in the future.
Dragon Heart
Japanese Gamer Reactions:
None…
A fully auto beat’em all game, which feels similar to Dynasty Warriors. Just looking at the UI you’ll be able to tell that the game features the traditional Chinese VIP system. From the looks and the character models, it’s hard to believe it’s a game made in Japan…
Wizard of Brandel
RPG ブランドルの魔法使い
Japanese Gamer Reactions:
"Forever support! Hope more games like this gets made!"
"Spend more time on the graphics, that way more people will play this game!"
A new game from KEMCO, who has created many traditional RPG titles.
Whilst newer generations of players may not be able to appreciate it, RPG fans will definitely enjoy the game. Following the brand’s style, the game is free-to-play and features an interesting story. The system reuses elements from previous games, but it would be great if they spend more time on the graphics.
