KLab is shutting down its magic and Idol-themed raising sim, Lapis Re:LiGHTS on October 31, 15:00 [JST]. The game launched on December 14, 2021, meaning the game will have been live for 10 months before it shuts down later this year.
The game has already suspended the sale of all premium currency, and players can receive refunds on the unused stones after the game shuts down between October 31, and December 31, 2022.
Update: Kadokawa and KLab also announced it is releasing the “Final Album” For Lapis Re:Lights, suggesting they are pulling the plug on the project, with no more content coming from this series.
▍Lapis Re:LiGHTS Developer Notice
The developers announced the game’s shutdown on the official website, thanking players for the time spent on the game and for playing. The post also details how refunds will be handed out, with the game only issuing refunds for the full amount of stones that you have purchased, but not used.
The game is also ending the sale of Flora’s blessing, stating that the special rewards from that purchase are available for free after August 31 for all players. All passes will also be taken out of the store, but the effects will still remain if you have already purchased one until it expires.
▍Lapis Re:Lights Everlasting Magic Final Album
Kadokawa and Klab also unveiled that it is releasing the “Final Album” for LApis Relights, titled “Everlasting Magic” on October 26. This album is said to feature 10 songs from the series, including the opening and ending theme songs of the anime, and four unreleased songs from the group.
The limited editions of the Album also come with footage from the group’s first online live performance, Lapis Relights Stars 1st Orchestra Light up the Magic which was held on September 4, 2021.
With the release of this final album, and the inclusion of these unreleased tracks, Kadokawa may be looking to put an end to the Lapis Re:Lights IP, sending it out in one last hurrah as the game ends, with this new album coming on the same week.

The general setting follows a group of princesses and aspiring magicians at Mamkestell, a prestigious academy for magic practitioners, coming together to excel at their studies in the academy while trying to become stars.
