The Marvel comic brand unveiled a new AR game, titled Marvel World of Heroes. The game will be entering a soft launch soon, and be available in limited markets for beta testing, with pre-registration for the game being available on the official website.
The game is currently being worked on by Niantic, the creators of Pokemon GO, with the official announcement trailer framing the game as if you are able to fight other people out in the world with powers from Marvel comics, being able to team up with other heroes, and stopping crime.
Marvel World of Heroes is coming in 2023.

Marvel World of Heroes is a new augmented reality game being developed by Niantic. As stated on the game’s official website, you can “Become a Marvel Super Hero in the real world. Create your own hero, patrol your neighborhood to foil crimes, and team up with your friends as well as iconic Marvel heroes such as Spider-Man, Captain America, and Wolverine to save the Multiverse!”
Since it is being developed by Niantic, players can expect a game that uses AR technology and google maps to create several landmarks where you can play as heroes to stop virtually created villains. It doesn’t seem like you will be able to play as a villain faction in the game.
