Capcom has just revealed gameplay footage to Monster Hunter World which was revealed at E3 2017!
The theme of Monster Hunter World is to bring players into an actual living world of Monster Hunter. Players will be able to experience Monster Hunter in a dynamic and vivid world with wildlife that properly interacts with each other.
The first most notable feature in Monster Hunter World is that for the first time in the series, NPC will be speaking in actual language, in the case of the demo Japanese.
The map layout is significantly more detailed, featuring more information on the actual environment of each zone for players. Players will also be able to fast travel to hunter camp sites.
At the camp site, players will be able to switch out their equipment mid-hunt!
Additionally, actual damage figures will show each time Hunters deal damage.
Unlike previous Monster Hunter titles, players will have to track the wanted monster by looking out for tracks and other clues that may may have been left behind by the monster. Different monsters will leave different distinctive tracks. Hunters are equipped with Scout Flies that luminate and guides Hunters to the monster.
From the demo revealed at the gameplay, players will be able to witness a living ecosystem, from predator hunting on prey to dangerous monsters battling it out on epic scales.
Hunters are equipped with a "Slinger" which can be used to launch items, distract monsters, as well as lure monsters without being spotted. Using the enhanced ecosystem, hunters can make use of different monsters in the area to their advantage. Hunters will also be able to move whilst using items like Potion and food without the fixed item animations from the previous generations.
Another new feature that will be introduced in Monster Hunter World is breakable terrain. Certain parts of the zone can be destroyed to have different effects that affects both Monsters and Hunters.
Monster Hunter World is due out Early 2018 on PS4 and PS4 Pro.
