Nintendo has just concluded the Nintendo Direct on Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time which focused on exclusive features on the 3DS version of the game from the 2D and 3D mode to field camps.
In 3D mode, Players will get a closer look at their surrounding. 3D models and detailed fields will immerse players into the world of the game, from monster ecology, weather, day and night cycle to camera controls, the 3D mode places players inside the world of Dragon Quest XI. Players will also be able to jump in 3D mode!
The 2D mode retains elements from classic JRPG games. The over-the-top view give players a much broader field of vision that will help them see whats on the other side of the mountain, or in adjacent rooms.
Another Exclusive feature on the 3DS version is field camps. In the fields, players will be able to make camp in certain locations. After setting camp, players can alternate between 2D and 3D modes.
The Nintendo Direct also talked about the StreetPass mini game.
Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time is due out 29th July in Japan for PS4 and 3DS. A Switch version is planned, but no release date is announced as of this moment.
