The Japanese server of D4DJ Groovy Mix is collaborating with the manga and mini-anime series, Di Gi Charat.
Di Gi Charat is a manga series, audio drama, and mini-anime series based on Dejiko, Japan’s mascot of the Gamers retail chain. Since the collaboration is with Di Gi Charat, expect the D4DJ Groovy Mix collab event to add tracks from the anime series and costumes based on Dejiko and the other character’s outfits.
The D4DJ Groovy Mix x Di Gi Charat Collaboration Event begins on October 15 on the Japanese server.
▍About Di Gi Charat
Di Gi Charat is a multi-media series about a catgirl named Dejiko, who is a mascot for the Japanese media company, Broccoli. You can find Dejiko all around Broccoli’s retail gaming stores, Gamers across Japan and Akihabara.
Di Gi Charat has been adapted into multiple forms including several anime prequels, sequels, and alternate universe anime series, including mangas, OVAs, trading cards, and games. The series often makes 4th-wall-breaking jokes as well as referential humor to gaming and otaku culture.
Di gi Charat recently began airing a new mini-anime series called Reiwa no Di Gi Charat (Di Gi Charat in the Reiwa era) to celebrate the series’ 24th anniversary.
