Kadokawa announced a brand new original TV anime titled Shūmatsu Train Doko e Iku? / Where does the Doomsday Train Go?
The anime is being worked on by award-winning anime director Tsutomu Mizushima who you may know as the original creator of Girls und Panzer! and Shirobako!
It’s been quite a while since Tsutomu Mizushima worked on a new original anime with his last work being Shirobako and The Magnificent Kotobuki back in 2020! The anime was also announced on Railway Day, a celebration of Japan’s Railway, and today marks the 150th anniversary of Railway Day!
The anime has been announced with the tagline “I wonder if we were friends”
What do you think the anime could be about? Given what the visual reflects it could possibly be about the main character being friends with someone who went on to commandeer a train that could end the world, and it’s up to them to stop them, or maybe it’s a story about the inevitable end of the world!
