KLab’s Web3-related business subsidiary BLOCKSMITH & Co. announced their plans to launch a new blockchain-based game titled Captain Tsubasa Rivals. The game plans to release by the end of 2022, utilizing the IP of the iconic Japanese soccer manga.
The game will be co-titled with SWORD, a game studio that is a subsidiary of Thirdverse that handles blockchain game-related business. Prior to the game’s launch, the official website and social media communities such as Discord were also opened.
▍About Captain Tsubasa Rivals
Captain Tsubasa Rivals is a new blockchain game in which you train the original soccer players who actually appeared in the original Captain Tsubasa and compete against other players’ teams in PvP.
Players compete for “rival pieces” with other users on the server. Strategize for victory with special moves, skill combinations, attribute compatibility, and more! Players can then exchange rivalry pieces obtained through battles with other players for rewards, including NFTs such as players and support characters.
In addition to developing a game strategy that takes into account various parameters such as players’ special moves, skills, attributes, and affinities, you must also create your own NFT that is unique to you.
To train those generative NFTs, players use utility tokens called Tsubasauts, which can be acquired in the original story’s PvE mode. The more Efficiency a card has, the more Tsubasauts it can obtain.
The tokens can be used to develop a player’s level and parameters, learn special moves and skills, and create a new NFT by taking over the characteristics of two players. Upon creating a new NFT, you’ll get a random rarity you can train, like the image below:
Lastly, the soundtrack was produced by Shinichi Osawa (MONDO GROSSO), a musician, producer, and DJ who has produced and remixed a variety of artists in Japan and abroad. Enjoy the charm of Captain Tsubasa with both new and remixed soundtracks!
▍Exchange NFTs at the Marketplace
Captain Tsubasa Rivals uses TSUBASAGT as the governor token and TSUBASAUT as the utility token. Users acquire these tokens through gameplay, and can then exchange those at the Marketplace.
