Project Tokyo Dolls
プロジェクト東京ドールズ
Japanese Gamer Reactions:
"The graphics are shockingly good!"
"Compared to the other two weapons, aren’t guns a little too hard to use?"
"The game is interesting, but isn’t the summon rates too insane?!"
&quoit; At least compared to SINoALICE the game is much more interesting"
"So the dolls are government officials?"
"The player is a government official, the dolls are government zombie soldiers"
The marketing for this game is definitely worth praising. First, identifying the game as an idol title, then shattering gamer’s expectations with a dark storyline and gameplay generating immense awareness to the title.
The story tugs at player’s humanity, starting with the protagonist lying in a pool of her own blood. In terms of the graphics and 3D models, it can be considered one of the best from Square Enix’s mobile games. The gameplay also breaks away from typical full-auto mobile games. Timing each of your attacks rhythmically to deal more damage, players won’t be able to rely on AI to do their dirty work.
Each character will be able to equip a range of weapons and each weapon has their own attack style that players must master. The gameplay overall is quite engaging, it is no wonder why SE is so confident with the title.
However, the summon rates of UR is at a mere 1%, and the tutorial is incredibly long, making re-rolling quite a pain.
DanMachi Memoria Freeze
ダンまち〜メモリア・フレーゼ〜
Japanese Gamer Reactions:
"The quality of the game pretty good! so good that you don’t really feel the need to pay to win!"
"The Assist system seems a little too much"
"I can’t pay for DanMachi this month, the sales for the game might drop.. Sorry everyone!"
"Who the hell are you??"
Repeating Wright Flyer Studios’ RPG gameplay, the game is pretty much Another Eden with a different skin.
Taking out the exploration aspect of Another Eden, the lighter gameplay makes DanMachi Memoria Freeze more appealing to casual gamers. The game adds a new Assist Character feature which brings new costumes to the RPG styled gameplay for players to collect.
Sure, the game isn’t as packed-full of content as Another Eden, but the main point of the game is the DanMachi IP. Surely, fans of the series will enjoy the game.
Fight League
ファイトリーグ
Japanese Gamer Reactions:
"Monster Strike x Chess? So many things to memorize… so tiring…"
"2v2 mode seems pointless once your partner disconnects"
"Luck is such an important factor… The game could be better if they optimize the pace."
This game heavily encourages PvP. Like many mobile tactical games, players build their own decks/teams and engage in both 1v1 battles and team battles.
At launch, the game has a bit of mixed review, on one side, players praise the tactical strategy elements of the game, but on the other hand, players aren’t satisfied with the game’s balance.
Although the game encourages PvP, there currently isn’t anything players can do if their teammates disconnect from battle. Players can only watch as their teammate’s timer slowly ticks away until they ultimately waste another turn if their teammate disconnects. Overall, the game can do with a few improvements.
Meteo Gene
メテオジーン
Japanese Gamer Reactions:
"The system is decent, but the server isn’t very stable and if you do disconnect is still uses your AP, but the worse part is the low player base…;"
"Is this game fun?" "Better than SINoALCIE"
"The problem with the game is the lack of promotion…"
This game is simple the Japanese version of Taiwan’s "The Children of Doomsday" with a few added improvements to the game’s system and character designs.
The game features a great cast of voice actors and the original story setting has won the game a few positive reviews in Japan.
Unfortunately, this month has given players too much to choose from, the game hasn’t gotten enough awareness, making the player base on the low side.
