Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that the mobile RPG Sword Art Online Unleash Blading is shutting down both its Japanese and Global servers on January 16, after it initially began service on November 21, lasting for 3 years and 2 months.
It’s been speculated among players and the community that the game would inevitably shut down Sword Art Online Variant Showdown was announced, citing that the game’s update cycle has been slowed down and Bandai would be putting more resources into the newer, fancier title. While it’s unknown if Integral Factor will also be shutting down, no announcement has been made for that title as of yet.
The game has since suspended the sale of all premium currency and on the global end, hasn’t stated if it will be issuing refunds for unused Diamond Cubes.
