▍Genshin Impact 3.3 New Banners
As has been the trend with recent Genshin Impact updates, version 3.3 is launching with four character banners and two phases of event wishes!
The first phase of the event wish comes with a brand new character the Wanderer, and another banner featuring the leader of the Arataki gang, Arataki Itto. Both of these banners include a pickup for the new four-star Anemo bow user Faruzan!
The Wanderer’s role is that of a Catalyst Anemo DPS, with his elemental skill causing him to levitate into the air and change his basic attacks into unleashing wind blades at the enemy. During this state, all of his normal and charged attacks will deal increased damage and the wanderer can freely fly in the area without using stamina!
His elemental burst compresses air into a vacuum, pulling enemies in and dealing multiple procs of AoE Anemo damage!
The Wanderer pairs perfectly with Faruzan, a bow-wielding Anemo support character specialising in doing AoE Anemo damage with her skill and burst, while also decreasing the enemy’s Anemo resistance, and buffing your party’s Anemo damage!
Raiden Shogun and Kamisato Ayato will also be appearing in phase 2 of this event’s banner, giving you the chance to pick up these powerful representatives of Inazuma before they disappear again for several months!
▍Genshin Impact 3.3 New Weapon
A new five-star weapon is also being added, Tulaytullah’s Remembrance which pairs incredibly well with the Wanderer, as it increases attack speed, and the power of normal and charged attacks after activating an elemental skill!
Its sub-stat gives Crit Damage, making it the second catalyst that does so after Kagura’s Verity!
▍Archon Interlude Quest –
A new Archon Interlude quest, All Senses Clear, All Existence Void is also launching with the update as a followup to the Sumeru Archon Quest. Follow Scaramouche on a journey of discovery and identity, as he grapples with his past and makes peace with the tragedy he faced throughout his life, and begins anew.
▍Genshin Impact 3.3 Genius Invocation Card Game
A new permanent game mode, the Genius Invocation Card Game is coming to Genshin Impact!
This card game is set entirely within the world of Genshin Impact, and offers loads of rewards that can be used strictly in the card game, and outside of the game for battling ai opponents. You don’t need to face off against actual players to collect these rewards, so no pressure to make the most meta deck or anything like that, just have fun!
In the card game you can challenge opponents throughout Teyvat, with special rules and you can see the opponent’s deck before play.
During the game, you can pick up to three core characters to represent your front line. The goal is to defeat the enemy’s characters first!
When the game starts you and the opponent will both roll dice giving you the elements corresponding to the characters you brought. A new Omni-element dice is also present, which can substitute an elemental dice for any character.
Similar to the Pokemon TCG, these elemental energies are used to perform actions with your characters, allowing them to do their signature attacks from the game! Each character’s attacks and abilities can also cause an elemental reaction based on the opposing team’s element and other variables, so building a team to take advantage of that can shift the odds in your favour!
▍Genshin Impact 3.3 Events
3.3 will be launching with a ton of events. The first one is a Ley Line overflow, giving you double the rewards from a leyline every day! Even if you don’t need the materials right now for a character, it’s a good idea to stock up for someone down the line, even if you don’t have anyone in mind yet.
Next is the Akitsu Kimodameshi event, where the Yashiro commission is hosting a Test of Courage event, bringing citizens of Inazuma and adventurers far and wide to participate in fun events for rewards.
The core of the event is a sort of Arkanoid mini-game, where you reflect elemental balls at bricks. The element type sent back is based on what characters you bring, for example, swapping out to Thoma will cause your bar to resonate with the pyro element, or bringing Raiden Shogun will change it to Electro.
Hitting the bricks with an element that can cause an elemental reaction will make breaking all of the bricks much faster, netting you a higher score and more rewards!
Next is the Across the Wilderness race event, where you’ll be journeying across all of Teyvat, collecting Wilderness Balloons as fast as possible. In this event, you’re allowed to use the elemental skills of your characters, so if you have any characters that have movement abilities, now’s a good time to bring them!
In addition, this event is also playable in co-op, allowing you to reap the rewards and collect balloons with friends or random strangers!
Speaking of playing with strangers, the Windtrace event is back! Genshin Impact’s take on the popular Prop Hunt game mode is back, with more weapon ascension materials and upgrade materials up for grabs.
The Misty Dungeon is also back, this time taking place in Sumeru’s temples. Misty Dungeon consists of several combat challenges with various leyline disorders in effect, such as buffing elemental reactions, increasing HP on causing an elemental reaction, and much more. You can choose to play the event using trial characters if you’re still fairly new to the game, or use your own characters!
