Shojo manga Haikara-san ga Toru (はいからさんが通る) has got a second anime adaption to be released this year after the first adaption in the 70s. The remake, which will arrive in the form of two animation movies, uploaded a trailer yesterday.

The first movie Haikara-san ga Toru Zenpen: Benio, Hana no 17-sai revolves around how the tomboy Benio Hanamaru meets the handsome army lieutenant Shinobu Ijuin. The second film will cover the story until the very last manga chapter, which was not told in the TV anime.
The manga by Waki Yamato (大和 和紀) first appeared in Shojo Friend magazine in 1975. It was then followed by an anime adaption in 1978 and even four live action titles between 1979 and 2002.
Haikara-san ga Toru Zenpen: Benio, Hana no 17-sai will premiere 11th November this year. The second film is coming next year.
