The first movie from the Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution (交響詩篇エウレカセブン ハイエボリューション) series publishes a new poster and a trailer today. This is the second Eureka title to be made after the TV anime finished 12 years ago.
The movie series is a prequel that explains the events which were not mentioned in the TV anime. This first part is mostly set before the TV anime’s storyline, the time when the First Summer of Love happens and Renton Thurston’s father dies. It will have two more movies to come in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
The trailer’s theme song is Glory Days by Hiroya Ozaki.
The original TV anime series running from 2005 to 2006 is set in a future where human beings live on a planet that is a complete wasteland. Renton Thurston, a 14-year-old boy, is dragged into a series of mysteries and conspiracies after he meets a mysterious girl called Eureka. Together they set out to uncover the truth that has long been hidden and forgotten.
The movie will be out on 16th September this year.
