Archive Games announced that Theseus Protocol, a turn-based deck-building roguelike is coming to PC via Steam on January 17.
Theseus Protocol is a turn-based RPG set in a futuristic dystopian sci-fi where elitist conspiracies, gangs, and hidden agendas lurk behind every corner of the world. You’re tasked with unravelling these mysteries by exploring branching narratives and defeating several enemies in turn-based combat with card decks you can customize while adapting and taking advantage of whatever the world throws at you.
The game will also be holding an open beta on Steam beginning on December 20.

▍About Theseus Protocol
As a roguelike deck builder, you will be travelling through the city streets encountering a variety of enemies and doing combat with the deck. The starting deck you have depends on one of three characters you choose from the start, and the card in the deck represents an action whether it be attacking, buffs, debuffs, etc.
During each turn, you can use action points to use a card. Once you run out of action points the enemy will retaliate until either you or the enemy falls. You can prepare for each encounter beforehand by changing out cards from your deck depending on your build, and you can also change out weapons to modify your attacks.
Like with any roguelike, each playthrough can be completely different as you’ll encounter several scenarios where you can pick up buffs, new cards, and abilities at random. Cards you don’t use will be kept in the Prometheus’ weaponry, where you can then bring them back for another run to come out of the gate swinging, giving you a better chance of reaching the end. The story also has branching narratives which offers even more replayability, and with multiple characters is sure to offer several hours of fun.
