Anime series Basilisk: The Kouga Ninja Scrolls (バジリスク 〜甲賀忍法帖〜) is getting a new anime based off the sequel novel Oka Ninpocho: Basilisk Shinsho (桜花忍法帖 バジリスク新章). This is the second anime adaption of Basilisk after the 2005 run.
Basilisk is adapted from Futaro Yamada’s (山田 風太郎) novel called The Kouga Ninja Scrolls (甲賀忍法帖). The story is about a couple, Kouga Gennosuke and Iga Oboro, whose family are rival Ninja clans. The clan conflict eventually leaves the lovers with only two choices – their partner or their families.
The new anime Basilisk: Oka Ninpocho (バジリスク 〜桜花忍法帖〜) based off Masaki Yamada’s (山田 正紀) sequel novel depicts the event that happens 10 years after The Kouga Ninja Scrolls. The protagonists are the children of Gennosuke and Oboro, Kouga Hachiro and Iga Hibiki.
