TV anime series Girls und Panzer will be having an animation movie coming this year. The movie Girls und Panzer das Finale (ガールズ＆パンツァー 最終章) is now confirmed to be premiering on 9th December. Along with the date revealed is the announcement of a new game spin-off coming to PS4.
The PS4 game released in Winter this year is called Girls und Panzer: Dream Tank Match (ガールズ＆パンツァードリームタンクマッチ). Dream Tank Match is developed by Bandai Namco just like its PSV predecessor, but it is a more faithful adaption in terms of the scenes and battles.
Girls und Panzer is an original TV anime directed by Tsutomu Mizushima in 2012. The plot is set in a Japan where driving tanks (sensha-do) is treated as another noble hobby besides Way of Tea and Ikebana. Even schools are built on aircraft carriers. The story follows Miho Nishizumi, a transferred student at Oarai Girls High School who is forced to join the national sensha-do championship along with her schoolmates.
Game looked quite early stage, any chance for a western release ?
