Behavior Interactive, the developer of the survival horror game Dead by Daylight, announced that it will hold an open beta test on PC via Steam from February 6 until February 13 for its new post-apocalyptic first-person building-and-raiding game Meet Your Maker.
The test will be held as part of the Steam Next Fest and anyone with a Steam account can participate. This open beta test version will reflect the feedback obtained from the closed test held in fall 2022.
Designed for fans of strategy and action, the first-person shooter will continue to expand over time with new content and a toolbox that adds traps, guards, and gears. Meet Your Maker will be available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S from April 4, 2023.
Meet Your Maker is a solo/co-op action game that takes place from a first-person perspective in a post-apocalyptic world where the human race is on the verge of extinction. The player is the Custodian of the Chimera, an experimental organism created as a last resort to save life on Earth, and is challenged to fight for the world’s most precious resource, pure genetic material, which holds the key to Chimera’s evolution.
Players construct and defend Outposts to protect the genetic material, and infiltrate other players’ camps to gather their resources. All outposts that appear in the game are designed by players, and the main feature of the game is that every level is designed by players for players.

Some of the improvements and new content for this Meet Your Maker Open Beta Test include:
– New social and progression system: Share outposts and connect with other players.
– Champion outposts: Select the outposts with the highest performance.
– Social raids: Builders can search for outposts set up for social raids from a dedicated menu, allowing them to raid specific outposts built by friends, acquaintances, distributors, etc.
– Rankings: Players can earn ranking points by raiding outposts or by running outposts so that they appear on the world map.
– New build function: Build outposts more efficiently.
– Drag and drop: Multiple blocks of the same type can be placed at once.
– Trap range preview: Preview the range of traps and their effects.
– Batch delete: Delete blocks and other items at once.
– Other improvements: Replay system, land acquisition screen, matchmaking, tutorial, user interface, etc.

Asynchronous Gameplay
Build when you want, how you want. Even once live, no Outpost is complete until you say it is. Watch its performance, iterate to make it even deadlier, and raid for more resources as often as you like along the way.
Outpost Building
Immerse yourself in the block-based, first-person-level design of Meet Your Maker. Claim plots of land and use a variety of blocks, traps, and guards to extract and protect Genmat while creating a deadly challenge for other players to face.
Outpost Raiding
Jump into a Raider suit, choose your loadout, and switch to intense first-person action as you take on player-built Outposts. Destroy traps and guards for additional building resources and upgrades while raiding for Genmat.
Customization
A deep, ever-expanding toolbox of traps, guards, mods, and augments delivers a nearly endless combination of creative and strategic options as you fortify underground or build into the sky. Add cosmetics to bring atmosphere, personality, and even distractions to your creation in Meet Your Maker.
Progression & Upgrades
Provide the Chimera and your 5 specialized Advisors with Genmat to unlock and upgrade your arsenal of traps, guards, weapons, suits, and more. Prestige your Outposts to prolong their lifespan and gain even greater rewards.
