Gungrave G.O.R.E dropped a trailer drop yesterday confirming that a new version 1.02 will be available after the update on January 27. The update’s main highlight is being able to play Bunji for all levels.
While Bunji Kugashira was a playable character in the earlier versions of Gungrave G.O.R.E, he was only relegated to a relative-game section at a late-game level. With the new update, players will be able to unleash death with a new change of pace, as The Wolf himself.
Having access to faster dodges than Beyond The Grave, Bunji can execute moves like dashing grabs and unique demolition shots that see the gunslinger performing sonic speed barrages. What Bunji lacks in raw power, he makes up for with breakneck speed and gracious evasions.
The update also introduces new achievements and unlockable moves for the game specifically tailored for Bunji, so why not take this chance to replay all the levels for Gungrave G.O.R.E. again, this time as The Wolf himself?

▍QoL changes in Update 1.02
Outside of being able to play as Bunji through the whole game, Gungrave G.O.R.E.’s latest update also features an extensive list of Quality of Life changes to the game overall, including features like more liberal camera controls during certain Demolition Shots involving free aiming, and many more.
While the announcement by Iggymob didn’t directly mention the chance of getting to play as series newcomer Quartz, the developers have stated in the patch note announcement that: “Iggymob’s commitment to making Gungrave G.O.R.E the ultimate Gungrave experience continues.”
