Konami announced that it will be shutting down Crimesight, a multiplayer social deduction PVP game on May 1, 00:00 [PDT]. The game released on April 2022, and will have been online for 1 year and 1 month when it shuts down.
Crimesight has since suspended the sale of its bundles and will still sell its standard and deluxe editions on February 27, 21:00 [PST] rather than immediately.
Crimesight is currently still playable via Steam as a multiplayer game, however since the game is only playable with multiplayer players, the game won’t be available for offline play or LAN play at all once it finally shuts down. Also the game’s current player count as of Steam Charts is sitting in the single digits, so you may want to avoid purchasing the title unless you’re really keen on trying the game out with a couple of friends.
▍ About CrimeSight
Crimesight is a social deduction multiplayer game in the same vein as other titles like Werewolves, and of course Among Us.
Set in London, in 2075, the world introduces a cutting-edge system called Foresight A, which is able to predict future crimes before it happens. However, the system is unable to predict one particular event, which is said to cause the end of the world. In order to avoid this catastrophe, the creators of Foresight AI developed a system that can track down and solve crimes before they even occur. At the same time, however, a malicious AI is created that creates intricate crimes.
Six players enter a session with a villain roaming around attacking victims. Teams are split between the Moriarty and Sherlock teams, with the Moriarty team needing to take care of the other players while the Sherlock team figures out who is the murderer.
