Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak is getting another title update, this time the update adds more anomaly levels, a new Risen Elder Dragon, more weekly quests, and of course the reveal of the newest monster in the game, Velkhana!
Velkhana was introduced in the previous title Monster Hunter World: Iceborne as its flagship monster, and now joins Sunbreak as a new violent elder dragon. This monster appears to be using the beast’s “Arch-Tempered” moveset, with it being able to freeze hunters in their tracks. Not to be left alone, the Crimson Glow Valstrax is also getting a “Risen” form, adding new powerful attacks to its arsenal!
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak’s 4th title update will be available on February 7.

Velkhana is finally here! This fan-favorite monster from Iceborne is back with a vengeance, with an aggressive moveset taken not from its original form, but its arch-tempered form since it has the ice-breath move that can freeze hunters, leading to a guaranteed follow-up!
Defeating Velkhana will earn materials to make its armor, and you can even craft a Palamute armor to dress up your pet as Velkhana itself, letting you ride it into battle!
Along with Velkhana, one of the deadliest monsters in the game, Valstrax is getting an upgrade with its new Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax form! This monster has some new moves with a spin attack that goes incredibly far, and new fire-based attacks on top of its arsenal of dragon-elemental abilities.
Defeating this monster will earn you materials for a new set of armor which you can see below, and will probably have incredibly strong skills to boot!
▍ New Anomaly Investigation Levels
As with every title update in Sunbreak, anomaly investigations are getting another update, this time with the level of investigations increasing to level 220, bringing with it A8 investigations and even more upgrades to Qurious crafting.
With this, new monsters will appear in Anomaly investigations, including the Risen Elder Dragons, and Chaos Gore Magala.

New event quests are also here! Play the new event quests that will be added to the game weekly to get a whole host of wacky and beautiful layered armor. You can see all of the event quests and the release schedule on the game’s official website.
▍ The Hunting Guide Paid DLC Layered Armor
Coming to the game is the surprising addition of the hunters from Monster Hunter Rise’ Hunting Guide! These beautifully rendered characters will be joining the game in their squiggly glory as hunters and palamute and palico outfits, along with other paid DLC items such as gestures, hunter voices, and more!
