Turtle Rock Studios, developers behind Back 4 Blood and supposedly made up of members behind Left 4 Dead’s development team, announced that it will no longer be supporting Back 4 Blood with post-launch content.
In a recent news post, the developers stated that Turtle Rock Studios is made up of a small development team and won’t have the resources to dedicate a team to creating Back 4 Blood content while it works on a new title. Given this, the team will be putting a hold on additional content for the game and continue working on “the next big thing”.
This doesn’t mean the game’s online service will be shut down, as the game will continue to operate and be online, and still have its social media and Discord server online for its community to continue interacting with developers.

Back 4 Blood is a co-op FPS game where up to four players work together to reclaim the world from a deadly parasite that turns humans into ferocious flesh-eating zombies, who want nothing more than to snack on humans.
The game’s heavily inspired by Left 4 Dead as it was made by some members of that game’s development team. The game features a rogue-lite card system that can affect levels, and players can also power up and improve their characters with card decks, giving new perks, stat bonuses, and abilities.
