Genjitsu no Yohane: Sunshine in the Mirror, the spin-off anime of Love Live! Sunshine!!, will premiere in July 2023! The anime’s key visual and teaser trailer were also revealed during the “Love Live! Sunshine! Aqours EXTRA LoveLive! 2023 ~It’s an Infinity☆World~ ” event held on February 12 at the Musashino Forest Sports Plaza in Tokyo, Japan.
Genjitsu no Yohane was originally a series of illustrations drawn by Taira Akitsu in Love Live! Days Love Live! Sogo Magazine in October 2020. The story inspired a manga titled Genjitsu no Yohane: Unpolarized Reflexion by Kota Matsuda, and then the series jokingly teased an anime on April Fools, until the anime spin-off was confirmed in June 2022.
The story of a girl that everyone knows, but not everyone knows her story. Numazu is a picturesque port town surrounded by the sea and mountains. A girl named Yohane, who has not fit in with her surroundings since she was a child, lives at a distance from everyone in the town.
Walking with a girl who cannot be honest. A mysterious world you know. Another sunshine has just appeared.
