Indie developer Bold Fish has opened a Steam page for the rhythm and survival game Life is not Auto, which is slated to release by the end of 2023. The game will be available in 11 languages, including English, French, German, and Spanish.
Life is not Auto is said to be a “rhythm + survival-based timing game” in which players manually control the internal organs of their characters to keep them alive. Each key on the keyboard corresponds to a different organ, and life can be sustained by pressing the corresponding key in response to the beat of the music, as the game incorporates rhythm elements which, combined with the survival mechanics, highlight the curious gameplay of the title.
In addition, the characters are assigned statuses such as stress, thirst, and hunger, which affect their health status depending on the situation. Throughout the course, as the character advances, there are also multiple objects, like traffic lights and others, that will require attention, which means that just pressing keys is not everything in the game.
