ACGHK 2017 kicked off on Friday (28th July)! On Saturday (29th July), Dynasty Warriors 9’s producer Akihiro Suzuki (鈴木亮浩) appeared at the PlayStation stage, with news on the upcoming Dynasty Warriors 9 for PS4!
The stage event started off with a previously revealed trailer of the game before introducing Suzuki to the stage. At the stage event, Suzuki talked about some of the game’s system that was previously released on the game’s official website as well as revealing 3 new characters, Gan Ning, Ling Tong, and Xu Shu!
The first Dynasty Warriors game was released in 1997 for the PlayStation, and since then, the game has gathered a massive fan base from across the world. As Chinese is the primary language of Hong Kong, it is not unexpected for fans to go wild as Suzuki announced that Dynasty Warriors 9 in Traditional Chinese will be released in sync with the Japanese version. Unfortunately, Suzuki could not reveal when exactly the game will be released.
After revealing such exciting news, PlayStation invited local streamer Tat Gor (達哥) to the stage to demonstrate what fans can expect with a gameplay demonstration using Xiahou Dun! Unfortunately, photography and video shooting was not allowed on site, but the entire event was live-streamed on PlayStation HK’s Facebook Page. See the full live-stream below!
