Xseed Games announced that the release of the story-exploration game Melon Journey: Bittersweet Memories has been delayed and is now set to launch in North America for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam on April 6.
Developed by Froach Club and published by Xseed Games, the game is a retro-inspired story-exploration follow-up to Melon Journey. To make sure that it’s worth the wait, the developers have released a compilation of composer markeryjane’s electronic and jazz-inspired soundtrack from the game. The remixed compilation contains 12 tracks that total nearly three hours of lo-fi music, which fans can enjoy with their favorite hot drink on a melon-choly afternoon.
Melon Journey: Bittersweet Memories follows the story of Honeydew, an employee at a melon factory, who discovers that Cantaloupe has gone missing. Honeydew takes it upon themselves to leave their job at Eglantine Industries and venture to Hog Town, where melons are outlawed and corruption abounds. As Honeydew embarks on their search, a series of intertwined mysteries begin to unravel in this monochromatic mystery game packed with eccentric personalities.
Players will need to explore every inch of the green-tinted pixelated world to solve the mysteries and save the day. The game offers a jazz-inspired lo-fi soundtrack that complements the retro vibe of the game.
