At a live broadcast held on March 3, FuRyu revealed an animated opening movie and one minute of gameplay for its upcoming sci-fi RPG Crymachina.
Nis America, which will be publishing the game in the West, also uploaded the game’s opening video on its YouTube channel. Set to release in Fall 2023, Crymachina will be available worldwide for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
The opening video for Crymachina not only introduced us to the game’s development staff but also gave us a glimpse of the game’s visually stunning character designs, featuring the theme song “NotToNotice();” by the mechanic girl Enoa (CV: Hikaru Tono).
The world featured in the video is synthetic in appearance, and the plot seems to have a philosophical aspect that continuously delves into the meaning of what it is to be human.

The live stream also unveiled new details about its gameplay and world setting of Crymachina, including its two main locations, combat mechanics, and customization options.
In Crymachina, players will take control of three E.V.E (recreated psyches of deceased humans instilled in synthetic bodies) characters as they explore a world where humanity has gone extinct, and are tasked with bringing mankind back.

Crymachina features two main locations: ”Eden” and “Imitation Garden”. In Eden, you’ll face exhilarating and cathartic battles against mechanical enemies and discover the unknowns of the dark world.
On the other hand, The Imitation Garden will be your home base to customize your weapons and enjoy lighthearted and heartwarming conversations between the girls.
Exhilarating & cathartic offense and defense
The combat system is fast-paced and full of combos, switching between melee and ranged attacks while the player engages in hit-and-dodge battles with the enemy. The combat system is designed to give players a sense of catharsis and satisfaction as they progress through the game.

Crymachina also features over 70 types of weapons that can be customized and combined to create a wide range of play styles. Each character has a unique weapon that can transform into different forms such as a bow or a gun, allowing players to switch between long and short-range attacks.

The romance of exploring and discovering the unknown
In addition, Crymachina offers an emotional storyline that involves discovering the secrets of the world and collecting “personality data” from defeated enemies, allowing players to gain insight into what it means to be human.

Enemies in Crymachina are machines with the capacity to hold human personality data, and by defeating them, players can collect their items and personality data, which can be used to progress through the game. The game also has a simulation game-like aspect where players can program their character’s behavior and abilities to suit different situations.

Crymachina is set to release on July 6, 2023, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch, with preorder bonuses and a limited edition box set available.
The preorder bonus includes a special soundtrack album CD with 19 songs, a booklet, and a DLC card with limited outfits to change the character’s costume.
The limited edition box set will include a limited edition collector box (Hanamaru Box) that comes with an outback that features unreleased illustrations, an original art book, a sticker sheet, a three-sided frame & a newly drawn duplicate original picture, and a DLC wedding dress set.

A 4-panel manga series has also been announced, which will be updated every Wednesday on the official Twitter account. There is also a hashtag campaign where players can give feedback and win a signed banner stand.
