At the Capcom Spotlight livestream, Capcom revealed that the time-bending ghost mystery puzzle game Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective will be coming to PC via Steam, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on June 30, 2023!
Previously available only on the Nintendo DS in 2010, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective is a puzzle-solving mystery game created by the director Shu Takumi, best known for his works on the Ace Attorney series. The remaster will feature higher quality visuals adapted for resolutions up to 1080p and framerates up to 60fps. Newly added trophies/achievements can also be unlocked through progress.
Players who pre-order Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, as well as purchasers who buy it until July 31, 2023 (a month after the release), will be able to obtain four new special backgrounds to use in-game: Missle, Kamila & Missle, Sissel & Lynne, and Ray & Black Cat! In addition, the Missile, Brave Little Creature, and Chicken Paradise BGMs can be listened to in the Jukebox Menu.
▍ Ghost Trick Phantom Detective Gameplay
In Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, players will control corpses, bend time, and teleport around as Sissel, as he zips around the land of the living where time flows normally, and the Ghost World, where time is stopped. Juggling each and every mechanic, players will be challenged by increasingly difficult situations that Sissel must alter, to save lives.
Uncover the mysteries of the spirit world with a brave phantom who has unexpectedly been stranded in the afterlife and has lost his memory. Not content with wasting away in the afterlife, players help Sissel solve the mystery behind his suspicious death by using his newfound supernatural abilities. Will players discover the truth before Sissel’s time runs out?
This version of Ghost Trick will include many additional goodies, such as 1080p upscaled graphics, a gallery, and a jukebox section to listen to your favorite songs and look at in-game concept art, and finally, the entirety of the game’s soundtracks have been rearranged by the composer for Great Ace Attorney, Yasumasa Kitagawa!
