Announced just a couple of days before its 1 year anniversary, Sega announced that its mobile RPG Sin Chronicle will be shutting down on May 31 later this year. The game would have been live for 1 year and 2 months when it shuts down, as the game launched on March 23, 2022.
Sega also noted in the announcement that it was happy to receive a lot of feedback regarding Gunther and Anne when it came to the game’s main story and was pleased to see people were happily enjoying the game’s multiple-story routes. Unfortunately despite all of the support the game announced, there will be one more update in store, and that update will mark the last update the game will receive.
As part of the shutdown notice, the game also released a schedule for the game’s content, which is as follows:
March 14: The sale of gems has been suspended
March 17: 1st Anniversary Event Story “Words of the Land of the Dead”
March 28: Gunther Corps Voice Log
April 4: Gi Chronicle Collaboration Story “Fateful Perjurer”
April 10: Main Story Chapter 6
May 31: Download the game’s story recollection content. The game will end service and the Refund process will begin.
▍About Sin Chronicle
Sin Chronicle is a turn-based 3D RPG and a spin-off / sequel to Chain Chronicle.
Players construct teams of characters with multiple classes as you run across a stage picking up loot, and encountering enemies. When you fight enemies you’ll be taken to a 3D battleground where you can freely move your units, before consuming BP to execute attacks and actions. You can also skip your turn to increase your maximum BP, allowing for more strategies and further combos at the risk of leaving yourself open.
Sin Chronicle’s biggest feature is its divergent story mode which lets you pick alternate story paths, dramatically altering the story’s outcome and the enemies you fight.
Sin Chronicle currently has a rating of 3.4 on the QooApp Game Store.
