The Misfit of Demon King Academy Season 2 anime will restart from episode 1 this July after its seventh episode was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In conjunction with the announcement, a new visual and the third promotional video were revealed depicting Anos and Avos facing off each other.
The anime’s second season premiered in January 2023. The 2-cour anime will adapt the biggest episode of the light novel, The Great Spirit Arc. Yuichiro Umehara replaced Tatsuhisa Suzuki as the voice of Anos, while the remaining cast is reprising their roles.

Once the ruler of the world and has led a life of absolute destruction, warfare, and death. The demon king Anos Voligoad decides to find peace from the mundane life of bloodshed and decides to reincarnate himself in the future into an age of peace.
When Anos is reborn, he finds himself in a world where magic wielders have to attend an academy to develop their abilities. Retaining all of his memories and godlike powers, Anos attends the academy, enjoying his time as a revered student among his peers. However, he senses something lurking in the shadows, and while living his life as a student, decides to find out more about the world that he left behind 2000 years ago.
