D3 Publisher and Lancarse announced that their upcoming Oedo panic roguelike game Ed-0: Zombie Uprising will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam worldwide on July 13, 2023. A new trailer was also unveiled for the announcement.
The trailer offers a glimpse into the game’s zombie world, which is set in the Edo Period of Japan. The peaceful old days of the Edo Period are interrupted by the sudden arrival of black ships, bringing hordes of zombies with them.
The trailer also showcases the game’s challenging dungeons and its superb survival experience, with different dungeons providing different challenges every time. Players must use their judgment to decide whether to enhance their weapons or heal themselves, which could mean the difference between life and death.
Ed-0: Zombie Uprising will have three playable characters, each with unique skills and fighting styles. The skilled Samurai Mumyo fights with a Japanese katana, the strongest Sumo Wrestler Raiden crushes zombies with his body, and the mysterious Ninja Matoka takes down enemies silently and quickly.
▍Ed-0: Zombie Uprising Gameplay
Ed-0: Zombie Uprising was first launched in early access for PC via Steam on April 4, 2022, and after a period of testing and development, it is now ready for its full release.
The game takes place in Edo Period Japan, and players take on the role of a Samurai, Sumo Wrestler, or Ninja, fighting off hordes of zombies in challenging dungeons that will be different with each run.
In addition to the three playable characters, the game also features unique secret arts and items, and mighty bosses that await players as they progress. The game will have infinite build-making, and players will be able to transfer their saved data from the early access version to the full release on Steam without modification, except for the unlock of the Blessings of the Sacred Tree by completing certain quests.
Ed-0: Zombie Uprising promises to provide a superb survival experience, where players’ series of judgments will be extremely important. The game has both randomness and challenge in store, making it an intense and exciting gameplay experience.
