The staff behind the Date A Live anime series based on the light novel by Kōshi Tachibana and Tsunako unveiled a new teaser trailer and visual for the anime’s upcoming fifth season!
The teaser trailer and visual were unveiled at the anime’s 10th anniversary live stream, celebrating the anime’s first debut back on April 6, 2013. While the teaser didn’t preview much of the new season, it did confirm that it would be a TV anime series, with staff and cast members from the fourth season returning. Production of the anime will once again be handled by GEEKTOYS.

Date a Live V is the fifth season of the Date A Live anime series that debuted on April 6, 2013. The anime is based on the light novel series of the same name written by Koshi Tachibana and illustrated by Tsunako, with its original run beginning on March 19, 2011, lasting for exactly 9 years when it ended on March 19, 2020, with its 22nd volume.
The fifth season of the anime series will be centered around the Spirit of Origin Mio Takamiya, a mysterious woman who is somehow who somehow knows of Shido and Mana’s past, while also inadvertently being the cause of the world’s very first space quake, killing millions.
While Mio is extremely childlike and innocent, she houses an incredibly dangerous power that can unwind the fabric of the world. How will Shido make sure she doesn’t destroy the world, and what lies behind her mysterious origins?
