SUCCESS Corporation announced that the casual 2D farming simulator Hakoniwa Bokujou Hitsuji Mura is coming to the West with the official English title of Shepherd’s Crossing. The game is coming to PC via Steam on April 27, before its subsequent release on PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch later this year.
Oddly enough the PS4 version of the game, coming with English and Japanese language support is coming on April 27 but only in Japan with its worldwide release date being announced later. On the Switch side, it’s planned to be released sometime in June, and both versions will only be available digitally. Sheperd’s Crossing was first released in Japan on the Nintendo Switch on November 10, 2022, and that version will be updated with English language options as well.
Shepherd’s Crossing takes you as a budding farmer, entrusted with handling a miniature garden to raise animals, crops, and more to live out your best life in this immersive sim. The game has a story mode though it isn’t time-gated in any way, allowing you to freely enjoy yourself on your farm at your leisure.

Shepherd’s Crossing is a series of farming simulators that began in August 2008 on the PlayStation 2, before it received a sequel on the Nintendo DS.
This game is a port of the original PS2 and PSP game, which puts you in the shoes of a farmer entrusted with a single-box garden, also known as a ranch to grow your own crops and raise animals on this farmland. The game has no money system of any kind, instead all trade is done through bartering with animals and crops.
The game does feature a storyline though its focus is on providing a relaxing experience, making it so progress isn’t time-gated and you can continue the story whenever you’d like. The new release of the game comes with increased zoom levels, letting you zoom further out of the map to have a better look at your entire farm. The number of slots in your inventory has also been nearly doubled, from three to seven so you can more easily organize your farm, and you can now place markers to make arranging fences and other decorations much easier.
