Multimedia franchise Kagerou Project (カゲロウプロジェクト) is currently promoting its third album Mekakucity Reload. In the latest album teaser released yesterday (15th August), a new anime is said to be in production. Nothing about the anime has been released.
Kagerou Project started out as a vocaloid song series by novelist and musician Jin. It revolves around Mekakushi Dan, a group of teenagers with eye-related superpower. The project has been adapted into novels and manga as well as a TV anime called Mekakucity Actors. The new album is the project’s first work to be released after three years the anime finished.
