▍Ghostpia Characters
■ Sayoko
The only outsider still living in ghostpia. Young and mysterious, many think she’s some kind of Ninja, though that’s far from the case as she’s quite forgetful and kind of airheaded, a part of her she loathes.
So far she’s hated every day she’s spent living in the town and wants a way out, but could her new bestie Yoru change that?
■ Yoru
The first ghost to come to the town from the outside world. Since she doesn’t have a place to stay, she bunks up with Sayoko.
Her upbeat attitude makes her easy to talk to, and is in a way kind of the town’s therapist because of that.
■ Anya
Works at the local repair ship, and came come off as standoffish, making it hard for her to get along with others. Despite that, she gets along quite well with Sayoko of all people.
Despite what her apparent lack of femininity may suggest, she’s the most experienced one in her group when it comes to handling guys.
■ Pacifica
A girl of many talents, and figuratively, and can literally wear the hat of a detective, teacher, or craftswoman.
She’s in charge of solving problems around town, and while to many others she sounds like a very influential person, when she’s around Sayoko she behaves just like any other girl.
▍About Ghostpia
Ghostpia is set in an isolated town that’s been cut off from the rest of the world by snow. In this town, there are seemingly ghosts that flood the streets during the night, when in actuality these are actually immortal people who took to calling themselves ghosts after some time. Yet in this town with communities and people, Sayoko is the only one in town who feels she doesn’t belong, and she shares a room with the newest face in town Yoru.
The journey follows Sayoko on her journey to try to return to her hometown by breaking past the field of snow, in search of one thing she feels like she has truly lost, her dream.
Ghostpia doesn’t feature any quick-time events or branching paths and instead has a control scheme that lets you fast-forward and rewind the elements of the story for a more comfortable viewing experience. The developers state that the goal is to create an enjoyable viewing experience, akin to watching a good film.
