The official website for Love Live! School Idol Festival All Stars released an update for the future of the game, announcing that the game is officially shutting down across its Japanese and Global servers on June 30, 16:00 [JST].
The shutdown was made as the series has been consolidating all of its apps and games into Love Live! School Idol Festival 2 Miracle Live! and its upcoming global release, making this the last app in that process. The announcement then went on to further iterate on the reason for the shutdown, stating that the main role of SIFAS was to introduce μ’s, Aqours, and Nijigasaki, show the appeal of the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, and finally to let players experience these idols in 3D.
The developers also stated that for the rest of the School Idol Festival, Tomori Kusunoki will still be lending her role as Setsuna Yuki for the remaining Nijigasaki songs, even in the final Nijigasaki High School Idol Club single that’s coming to the game in May.
While School Idol Festival 2 Miracle Live’s global version is still in development, the developers hope users will continue to enjoy SIFAS until it shuts down, and will strive to make SIF2 as enjoyable as possible for fans of SIFAS, as fans will also be able to gain items based on their progress in this title, to SIF2.
