505 Games recently announced that the online PvP shooter Hawken is being revived. Hawken Reborn, which will enter early access on May 17 on Steam, is now a free-to-play mecha shooter with PvE-centric content.
Hawken Reborn invites players to return to the adrenaline-filled world of mech combat five years after the release of the original Hawken. When early access launches, you can play through six-story missions, replayable Radio Missions in Patrol, and a single zone. Five mechs will also be available with different weapons and thrusters to customize them with. Additional options are coming in future updates.

Hawken Reborn takes players to the planet of Illal, once envisioned as humanity’s future utopia but now a dystopian world plagued by corporate corruption and greed. The atmosphere has been poisoned by illicit terraforming, and a disastrous accident unleashed the Giga, a nanite plague that devastated half the planet.
