After the successful debut of Sonic Frontier, an innovative ‘open-zone’ entry of the long-lived franchise, Sega gets back to basic with the announcement of Sonic Superstars, a new 2D Sonic game that is slated to release for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, Nintendo Switch, and PC in Fall 2023.
In this 2D high-speed action platformer, players can play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy Rose and harness all-new Emerald powers to move and attack in dynamic new ways!
Navigate Sonic and his friends through gorgeous, never-before-seen environments solo or with up to three other players and stop Dr. Eggman, Fang, and a mysterious new adversary?! And on top of that, there’s also drop-in and drop-out four-player local cooperative play, so anyone can grab a controller to join in at any time!
With the power of the Chaos Emeralds, you can multiply, swim up waterfalls, change form, and take advantage of multiple unique powers!
