Idea Factory International announced that the latest entry in the Neptunia series, Hyperdimension Neptunia: Game Maker R:Evolution isn’t just coming to Japan on August 10, but is also coming to the West in 2024!
Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution’s new trailer gives us English introductions to the key characters and then shows off more gameplay footage from the Japanese version of the game. Since the announcement Ideal Factory International also updated its website to include an English entry of the game, and players can now pre-order its standard edition for USD$49.99, and its upcoming limited editions and Day One Edition which is only for the UK and EU. The contents of the game’s limited edition have yet to be revealed.

Your main objective in Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution is to manage a game company and gradually expand to become a large enterprise. Compile Heart explained that players will want to “keep your eyes peeled for a Neptunia game evolved in every aspect.”
To do this, you’ll be spending a good chunk of time at the Victory Company offices, managing your employees, buildings, and tasks by using Company Points that you can pick up from disk development, dungeons, events, and other gameplay challenges!
As you progress you’ll be able to use company points to create your own game discs. You can do this by assigning creators to certain works, genres, and game styles, and then spending company points on them. Depending on how efficiently you can churn out games, your sales will increase, earning you even more company points!
You can also add Idea gems to your games, and discs will not only grant you increased revenue, but can also be used as a way to get abilities in battle.
Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution’s party size has gone up to four, and because of that you can now create new combinations of teams, forming parties between Adult Neptunia and the Failure goddess, or four goddesses team is now possible! Create your own varied teams and battle enemies in the new turn-based combat system, executing EX drives and more abilities from past games!
