Two days ago, Sega opened a mysterious teaser site to hint about a new crossover. Today (7th September), the developer officially announced the title to be a new Shin Megami Tensei for mobile. The site has also been updated.
According to the video shot by Dengeki Online, the announcement was made on a big outdoor TV on the street of Akihabara.
The new title, Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei Liberation (Ｄ×２ 真・女神転生リベレーション), is currently developed by Sega. The story seems to revolve around characters that are called Liberators. The teaser site has yet to unveil the silhouettes and release date. More information will be revealed at the coming Tokyo Game Show.
The Megami Tensei franchise is a long-running series of Atlus, who has been purchased by Sega. It has multiple series including Persona, Shin Megami Tensei and the main Megami Tensei series. Shin Megami Tensei and Megami Tensei specifically deals with the issue of demon summoning and cults.
