PUBG Mobile is launching a landmark crossover with Dragon Ball Super as part of the version 2.7 update! Available from July 13, PUBG Mobile players will be able to take to the battlefield as their favorite characters from the series, including Son Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, Picollo, and more.
And apart from these iconic characters from the Dragon Ball Super series, the update also adds a new limited game mode, items, vehicles, and more content to the game.

▍New Dragon Ball Super Theme Mode in PUBG Mobile
Embark on a quest for the Dragon Balls! PUBG Mobile players will search and contend for control of the seven Dragon Balls scattered throughout the map. Summon the legendary dragon Shenron by collecting all seven balls, and make a wish that grants a powerful buff. If you’re lucky, Shenron might grant three wishes at once!
The game mode will see the three locations, Erangel, Livik, and Sanhok areas changed to resemble different locations from the anime! These include Dragon Ball Village, Tenkaichi Budokai, ‘Kame House, and Karin Tower.
During the game mode, players will build up Ki energy over time, which can be used to perform powerful moves such as enhanced mobility, momentary flight, and performing Goku’s Kamehameha beam.
Collect pickups such as the Senzu Beans which instantly regenerates all Ki while healing for a massive amount and the Dragon Radar which reveals any unclaimed Dragon Balls on the map. Use vehicles like the Hoipoi Capsule sealed Air Cars to get around faster and gain the advantage of getting to the Dragon Balls first!
▍Play as Iconic Characters in the New Standalone Battle Royale Mode!
Available to play from July 15 until the end of the collab is the second game mode added, “Battle Royale: Dragon Ball Super”! In this game mode, the entire map is transformed into the aesthetic of Dragon Ball Super. Play as one of five characters from the show: Goku, Ultimate Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta, and Frieza!
Instead of the weapons found in the base game, players can use moves and attacks straight from the show to take down their opponents. Players must gather Spirit Crystlets and Spirit Crystals from the ground to restore energy, upgrade their moves, and use various new features such as Teleport Points and Updrafts to traverse the map and come out on top!
▍PUBG Mobile Version 2.7 Update
The Dragon Ball Super Collab coincides with a version update for PUBG Mobile. Version 2.7 features the debut of various gameplay enhancements including improvements to the World of Wonder creative mode and the introduction of a new Assault Rifle category weapon ACE 32, which will spawn as a potential weapon on all maps. The new gun will take 7.62mm ammo and will have 6 attachment slots.
Additionally, a firearm category tag has been added to all guns found in the game, allowing players to grasp what kind of armament they picked up quickly. The tag can be visible in the backpack menu.
