Kakao Games announced that its upcoming sci-fi MMORPG, Ares: Rise of Guardians is making its debut in Korean markets for mobile and PC on July 25.
The game was previously shown off at the Korean game show G-Star 2022, and was noted for having impressive visuals and effects for an MMORPG running on Android, iOS, and PC. The game was so popular it broke past 1,000,000 pre-registrations within 5 days of the game being announced and has since exceeded 2,000,000 players as of writing.
The game also launched its character creation at the end of June and has already reached its upper limit when it comes to player numbers in several of its servers, and it’s expected there will be even more players jumping into the game, so if you plan on giving it a go you may experience some server delays on launch.

The game is an open-world sci-fi MMORPG featuring real-time battles against monsters and other beings in a sprawling open world that you can explore alone or with friends and strangers.
The game features four classes with Hunters, Warlocks, Warlords, and Engineers, each with various weapons and skills at their disposal and their playstyle can be customized depending on how you combine your tools and items you’ve earned from combat.
The game features a combat system that allows for fights across the ground and the air, allowing for diverse playing experiences and the freedom to tackle your opponent from any angle. The game will also feature large multiplayer battles from its 4-person elite raids, to large-scale 30-person raids!
