▍About Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
Armored Core VI is the latest entry in FromSoftware’s mecha-simulation action game franchise, with its last entry Armored Core V: Verdict Day last appearing in two console generations ago, 10 years ago.
Gameplay in this entry takes a step up in terms of speed and accessibility, letting players reach new speeds with fast-paced mechs with traversal options on the ground and air, and being able to lock on to enemies with more accuracy to keep them in view. Armored Core VI lets players engage in Omni-directional battles as their mechs will have complete freedom of mobility when in the air or land, which will come in handy in the game’s onslaught of bullets and projectiles coming their way.
The game is adding more options for traversal including Assault Boosts that let players close the gap instantly or create space to better suit the combat style of their unique AC, which can be customized with several weapons from missile launchers, blades, machine guns, and much more. Other customization options like emblems, colors and more will return with online sharing and download functionality to help you create your own personal style.
Returning is also the series’ signature Arena mode where players can face off in a series of battles to reach the top of the leaderboards, much like the corporations and mercenaries from the original games.
