A multimedia project by Japanese broadcaster NTV, Hiragana Danshi releases a mobile puzzle game today (4th October), Hiragana Danshi: Itsura no Koe (ひらがな男子 いつらのこゑ). In the franchise, Japanese letters are personified as handsome boys.
▍Story
In a world where words are gone, those who can still read and write are a rare existence called Shoka. A shoka aims to bring words back, and sets out a journey to gather information. Suddenly, she encounters a young man, one that dubs himself the “Hiragana Danshi”, whom invites her to adventure together.
▍System
The gameplay involves mainly Japanese word puzzles, which requires players to link Hiragana letters together to form a word. The breeding is done through combining Hiragana Danshi with strengthening cards, as well as cleaning ink off the guys. Their clothing is customisable.
