Shift’s long running RPG franchise God Eater (ゴッドイーター) announced a new project in the making with a teaser in March this year. The unnamed title will finally be revealed on 7th October, right after the God Eater Orchestra Live that celebrates the series’ 7th anniversary.
This title has been confirmed to be a console game, but it is not sure on which platform it will be released. The story will take place at Fenrir. The narrator is Kazuya Nakai, who voices Soma Schicksal, one of the recurring character in God Eater. It is expected that Schicksal will return in the coming game.
The announcement tomorrow will be live streamed on NicoNico starting 19:45 (GMT +9). It will be hosted by four producers of the franchise.
Ever since its debut in 2010, God Eater has already got five console games released. The plot focuses on the battles between aragami and humanity in a post-apocalyptic world, and it has been made into a TV anime series by Ufotable studio.
