DMM’s popular web game and mobile game Touken Ranbu (刀剣乱舞) updated Twitter today with a teaser picture of a coming character. The Kamon shown there suggests that he may be Dai Hannya Nagamitsu (大般若長光).
The character’s Kamon is composed of six coins, which seems like a match with Dai Hannya Nagamitsu’s background story – its monetary value was six hundred kan in the Muromachi period. He also wears a black suit, a kind of attire that all swords from the Osafure school wear in Touken Ranbu. Coincidentally, Dai Hannya belongs to the said school.

The sword was originally owned by Ashikaga Yoshiteru, followed by Oda Nobunaga and Tokugawa Ieyasu. It is now kept by Tokyo National Museum.
