Ryu Fujisaki’s (藤崎 竜) manga series Hoshin Engi gets a new name for the coming anime adaption! Titled Hakyuu Hoshin Engi (覇穹 封神演義), it has just published a long teaser video. At the end of the video, the release date and new cast members are unveiled.
The first episode will arrive on 22nd January 2018. It is currently directed by Kagetsu Oizawa at C-Station.

▍Hoshin Engi
Serialised on Weekly Shonen Jump during 1996-2000, the manga is inspired by Chinese literature Fengshen Yanyi, which follows Taikobo and his task to restore peace in the late In Dynasty of China. The last anime series was made 18 years ago. Hakyuu Hoshin Engi will revolve around Senkai Taisen as well as the rivalry between Taikobo and Bunchuu.
