5pb. has confirmed its adventure visual novel Steins;Gate Elite will be sold starting 15th March 2018. Elite is a remake of Steins;Gate which was published in 2009. It will be available for Switch, PS4, and PSV for 7,800 yen.
This version is no longer a CG-based visual novel but an animated one. In Steins;Gate, players’ relies heavily on a mobile phone to make decision. The said phone has also been animated and is no longer on the side of the screen, making the choice making a part of the animation.
The animation is produced by White Fox, who also produced the series’ TV anime spin-off in 2011.
