Coming TV anime series Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online (ソードアート・オンライン オルタナティブ ガンゲイル・オンライン), also dubbed SAOAGGO, will premiere in April 2018. The key visual is already released.
SAOAGGO is Kino’s Journey author Keiichi Sigsawa’s (時雨沢恵一) light novel based on the Sword Art Online franchise. The illustrator Kouhaku Kuroboshi also worked on Kino’s Journey.
▍Story
Kohiruimaki Karen is a tall female college student. Only in the VRMMO game Gun Gale Online does she fulfil her dream of being a chibi girl. She takes on the pseudonym Lienn in the virtual world. Pitohui is another rare female player in Gun Gale Online. The two girls go along well once they meet. Their gameplay becomes dangerous after one day, Pitohui asks Lienn to join a team battle tournament Squad Jam.
