[Qoo News] The Seven Deadly Sins: Prisoners of the Sky movie features new story not told in the manga

The Seven Deadly Sins‘ first anime film ever, The Seven Deadly Sins: Prisoners of the Sky (劇場版七つの大罪天空の囚われ人) , is scheduled to open on 18th August 2018 in Japan.

The Seven Deadly Sins is a manga series written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki (鈴木央). This coming movie is not based on any existing chapter but an original story by the author.

▍Story

The King of Liones Kingdom is soon having his birthday. For such a special occasion, the Seven Deadly Sins, led by Meliodas, have gone up above the clouds in search of a delicacy – flying fish. Meliodas runs into the locals there, who is about to begin a ceremony to prevent a beast that have been sealed for 3,000 years from breaking out. The Six Knights of Black however has another plan – they need to unleash the beast. The clash between the Six knights and the Seven Deadly Sins begins.
